The beef tenderloin is used to cut Filet Mignon Steaks, or Tenderloin Steaks. Due to the way the tenderloin tapers from larger to smaller, end to end, there is a leftover portion of each whole tenderloin that is too small to use to make tenderloin steaks.
These tenderloin tips cut up into bite sized pieces and packed into 1-lb portions.
These small pieces on the end of the tenderloins are just as tender as the rest of the tenderloin, and the possibilities are endless! Use them for stir fry, kabobs, stroganoff, or stew, and take your recipes to the next level.
